Day 3

OOOOOHHH SATURDAY....DAY 3.....I ALMOST BROKE!!!!

I felt amazing upon waking this morning! I made it through the morning routine of distilled water and supplements and then on to repeat the scrambled egg, toast and kale breakfast from day 1 :) Once again, I thoroughly enjoyed this meal and was completely satisfied! I was in a GREAT MOOD...NO CRYING, on my way to get my hair done with my AMAZING hair dresser, Michelle (if you live near me, you should check her out!) It was a  wonderful 3 hour "therapy" session with her! Once I was finished up there, I threw down my supplements in the car, so I could eat as soon as I got home and then run some errands. Thank goodness I was off Thursday and Friday and was able to prepare some of the meals in advance. I have NO idea how next week will pan out. I was on summer vacation during my first Reset experience and will be heading back to work this coming Monday which will be Day 5 for me! Sunday is sounding like another day of grocery shopping and more food prepping (which may sound odd, but I find it a little theraputic).

After my Lentil-Lime Salad and Microgreen Salad for lunch, I headed out to run a few errands. I brought my delicious Alkalinize, with some ice and a shot or 3 of water to mix that bad boy up in the car. I find that it tasted MUCH BETTER when it's mixed in icy cold water! Before I had the opportunity to chug this tasty, green shot of grass, I headed into Target. IT WAS ABOUT TO GO DOWN! I had this overwhelming urge to go down the candy aisle, grab a bag of PB M&M's, hit up the soda cooler for a refreshing, icy-cold Diet Pepsi, and then swing by the cafe to pick up their heavenly popcorn....OMG WHO WAS I!!!????? WHERE DID THIS INNER DEMON COME FROM!?  I REALLY ALMOST LOST IT!  I mean seriously, what is one to do in  this kind of crisis!? Well, I personally send an immediate text to my roommies; explaining this uncontrollable urge to splurge! They both reminded me that it's NOT worth it...which makes me have 2nd thoughts, but I could still smell that popcorn and still needed to finish walking past the candy as I stepped up to the checkout. Amazingly enough, I DID IT!!!! I WALKED OUT WITHOUT GIVING IN!!!! WOW! That was hard!!!! I finally headed out of temptation central (AKA Target) and into my car where the Alkalanize was waiting. By the time I reached home and unpacked my car, my 30 minute wait time between the Alkalinize grass drink and snack time was up! I quickly mixed up a  chocolate Shakeology in the blender with ice and water and chugged it down relieving that chocolate urge.

Today was SO hard, but tonight was pretty easy and SO much fun! We spent another 1 1/2 hour making tonight's dinner and part of tomorrow's lunch. here is what we were up to in the kitchen tonight....home made sushi rolls....and they even turned out really yummy!!! These bad boys were made with gluten free brown rice, cucumber, avocado, tempeh, and carrot, all rolled into little pieces of yummy goodness. We also had a side of Miso Soup to go along with our rolls (which didn't last as a roll for very long...I guess I need to take a class on how to expertly roll my sushi b/c by the time I rolled the 3rd one, I claimed that one as mine and said I was going to eat my roll "burrito style."). Regardless of how they were wrapped they were delicious and filling as was the Miso Soup.

With comfortably full tummies, my roommates and I actually had a Saturday Night-In and hung out together watching football: Packers Vs. Vikings....GO PACKERS (one of my roomies is from WI). I'm really thankful we had each other because about every 30 minutes, one of us was craving chocolate! I'm not really sure why, but this 2nd time around with the reset seems much more difficult than the first! I don't remember having these intense cravings for chocolate or sweets! I'm hoping these next few days prove to be a little easier!
