Day 2
Friday, Friday, Friday!!!! I usually love Fridays, but today???? Man, oh, man....I was on an emotional roller coaster! At first I thought it was due to the fact that I had just gotten back home to FL after spending about 1 1/2 weeks with my favorite people in the world; my family, but then I remembered comments from others, who did the reset while I was doing it the first time, saying that they felt a bit emotional during the first few days. My guess is that my body was having some serious cookie or chocolate withdrawals and was crying for some of sugar...EEEK!!!
So, here is a recap of my day:
Supplements and distilled water around 7:30. The 30 minute wait for breakfast was killing me! I wanted to eat it so bad because I'm a breakfast lover and was a bit hungry. (throw in about 5 minutes of crying here) I held out for 40 minutes by busying myself with some house cleaning :) Breakfast consisted of oatmeal with blueberries and organic plain yogurt sweetened with a drop of 100% pure maple syrup. YUM!
After my 2nd round of supplements and another 30 minute wait, I was able to eat my delicious lunch. What was on the menu today? Well, an amazingly delicious Greek salad with home made Greek dressing, topped with one of most favorite things in the world: Kalamata olives!! YIPPY! (oh, a great lunch, but again more crying! OMG!!!! I needed a WHAAAAAAmbulance today!) I decided that I had had ENOUGH of this funk and packed up my beach bag, with my Alkalinize and snack, stopped by Barnes and Noble to pick up a new planner and drove down to the beach for a little R&R, some goal jotting, week planning and might I add, a little more crying! LOL! Well, I arrived at the beach, couldn't find parking and the clouds were rolling in, so I rolled home. Once I was home, I drank down my Alkalinize without a problem! I just added a little bit more ice and I think I actually felt like I was enjoying it!
Thank God my roommies came home around 5:00, or I may have cried again! Hill and I headed out for a brisk 2 mile walk, which I believed turned out to be about 4 miles. It was very much needed, and by the time we got home, I was feeling much better. No more crying for the entire night! I don't think I have cried like that since I was a baby!
It was time for our evening supplements, 30 minute wait and then another great dinner! This is something that I have eaten many times since the first time I did the Reset: black beans, gluten free rice, corn, salsa, avocado and a side of kale!
I just cannot believe how much of an emotional day today was. I'm very positive it's mainly due to the fact that I miss my family immensely! The rest of the night has been enjoyable. I have two super amazing roommates that are on this journey with me and I wouldn't have it any other way. The accountability and support we provide for each other is just awesome! Thanks roommies :)
