Day 1
DAY 1...WHAT AN EXCITING DAY!!!! I set my alarm for 6:00am. My cat must have also been excited because about 15 minutes before my alarm went off, he was walking along my dresser and desk knocking things off! The best was when I opened my eyes and saw him with his paw on my cute, little, glass IKEA lamp, staring me in the face, looking like "chic, if you don't get our of bed and get your reset on right now, this little glass thing is going down!" I couldn't resist. I grabbed my phone, snapped his picture, sprayed him in the face with the water bottle and flew out of bed with excitement; knowing that today was going to be a BIG DAY!
And here is the picture of my little DEVIL!
So, onto DAY 1 of the Ultimate Reset....
First things first, I drank my distilled water with the Oxygenize and Mineralize and took 2 of the Optimize supplements. Thirty minutes later, I cooked up my first Reset meal: 2eggs, 2 slices gluten free toast and kale with lemon juice and pine nuts. This was absolutely DELICIOUS!! My first experience with kale was in July 2012, the first time I did the Ultimate Reset. I was SO skeptical about eating it because it looked like cooked spinach, and for those of you who know me (mom, dad, sis, kev and some other close friends), know my fear and disgust of spinach. Fresh spinach is YUMMY, but cooked....FORGET IT! This is breakfast, day 1:
Throughout the morning I felt pretty good. I didn't have to work, so I spent a couple hours prepping some of the meals for the upcoming days. I took my next round of supplements as directed and had my yummy lunch (microgreen salad) with homemade dressing!
After lunch was going to be the hard part.....ALKALINIZE....um, if you haven't tasted it, it's not something I would see myself drinking on a regular basis...it's green and after my first taste of it during my July/Aug Reset, I felt like I just mowed the grass with my mouth! It tastes....well.....grassy. Not really sure how I know this, but if I ate grass, I bet it would taste just like the Alkalinize :) This time around it doesn't seem to be so bad...Thank God!
Snack: I had Chocolate Shakeology- blended with water and ice...I was feeling a bit hungry and tired at that point.
Now, onto dinner. A DELICIOUS dinner! Salmon, potatoes, and veggies...yummmm!
Overall, day 1 went really well! The first time I did the reset, I had a pretty bad headache for the first few days. I am pretty happy that the headache didn't come about this time around....at least on day 1. We'll see how day 2 goes!
